Why Me

Hits: 164

There are lots of wonderful English teachers and tutors out there, so why me? It is entirely a matter of your preferred study approach. If you like sitting with a book, following a given sequence of exercises and that’s what makes you happy, I am not the right choice for you.

For me, teaching English is a passion. I have pursued it at the university, learning as much as I could about making teaching English work, personalising it to each person’s individual needs. Consequently, I sought out some incredible English teachers with heart for people and for education. I learned from the exciting new teaching techniques and new ideas they approached their English learners with.

I am your best bet because

  • I have BA TEFL degree and a teaching certificate from a British university (University of Essex), along with the exciting training for the Montessori Method with young Adults and Adults in Language Training. I am also currently studying my MA degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
  • I continually educate myself on how to make your learning exciting and exceptional. I want your lessons to be a great experience for you!
  • I personalise my lessons to my students’ needs and care about their progress. We set SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, reasonable and time-bound) and work hard on achieving them in the given time
  • My goal is for you to leave me with your heart set on fire for English, knowing how to pursue language learning successfully by yourself. I will coach you to become an independent learner who enjoys their English learning and knows how to approach it to enjoy it and to never stop growing
  • I am a professional and provide a high standard of care for my students but I am also friendly, approachable and most of all fun
  • I have over 500 hours of online teaching experience
